Song

Song

An interpretation of Aristotle's Poetics through Music. Part of a series.

Exerpt 8.9 "One should handle the chorus as one of the actors; it should be part of the whole and should contribute to the performance – not as in Euripides, but as in Sophocles. In the other poets the songs have no more to do with the plot than they do with any other play; this is the reason why they sing interludes."
